Niks, it isn't necessary to drink to the point you lose control of yourself. If you must drink, just take one and nurse it all night, or at least until it's too warm to be good. Will there be non-smokers there? If so, you should hang around them as much as possible. And for crying out loud, tell everybody you've quit! I haven't seen the post Healer referenced, but quitting in silence is dangerous. Announce to everyone that you have quit smoking and that no one is to offer or give you one for any reason. You're putting yourself into a potentially bad situation, niks. I hope you will get through it okay. Others have done the same and some quits survived, some didn't. Print out this thread, there's a lot of support in it. Remember, no matter how tempting it may be, smoking is not an option. I wish you strength, niks. niks, If the temptation is too much then don't go! You need to avoid situations that tempt you. If you have to go and absolutely want to go, then use those coping mechanisms to help you through and remove yourself from the situation if necessary. You can do this and remember we are proud of your 18 days and so should you be! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
