Hi Kaydtx,
You will probably find that combining the experiences of the people on this site, we have done EVERYTHING to try and stop smoking. The biggest factor is decision. In the past, I have done patches, gum, nico lozenges, hypnosis CD's, herbal pills, and a quit smoking shot. My intentions were good, but i always made the decision to smoke a cig again. This leads to smoking more cigs, until I was a full time smoker again. You have to use whatever aids you think will help you get through the initial withdrawls from nicotine; but there is no magic pill. The psychological addiction is much stronger than the physical. You have to decide not to smoke; not to smoke through stressful situations, not to smoke while out with friends, not to smoke while driving, not to smoke while on breaks at work, not to smoke after meals, etc, etc. You get the picture. It is the best decision you will ever make cause SMOKING SUCKS. It sucks the life out of us while we are sucking on them! Go for it! You can do it.
