Maybe what you first thought was a set back will end up being a step forward for you.

Thanks for your replies. I was really stressed last week, due to a weekend trip away that was coming up with the kids and in-laws. I was so scared of having panic attacks whilst I was there and spoiling it for everyone. I wanted to cancel the trip, but that would just let the panic attacks win. Anyway, we went on the trip and I survived!!!!! I was very panicky at the beginning as I had to drive for an hour and a half, which I havent done for a very long time, but once we were there I was okay. The weekend break was brilliant fun and I am very proud of myself for not backing down at the last minute. I have just driven back a couple of hours ago, and that journey wasnt as bad. I am very grateful to the Panic Program, as I probably would have cancelled it if I had not done so much work on my anxiety/panic attacks.

Hi Ann. There can be setbacks, especially when you challenge your anxious thoughts. Try going to back to last week's session. See if the last step you took was perhaps a little too big. It's important not to move too quickly in formulating your steps.

Has anything traumatic happened to you recently or is there new stress in your life that wasn€™t there before?

Hi everyone. Can anyone help me please. I have been doing the Panic Program for over 6 weeks now, and found that I was slowly getting better. My panic attacks were decreasing in fear rating, which has been fantastic for me. Anyway, all that hard work seems to have disappeared and I feel like I have gone back to square one. I feel I am more anxious about everything and my panic attacks have come back with a vengence. I have been trying to challange my thoughts but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any suggestions as I dont want to lose all the hard work I have put into the Panic Program. Thanks
