July Extinguishers weekend roll call

17 years ago 0 66 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Doing fine here Roxy!!!! Keeping busy as needed and dealing with nasty headaches and heartburn, but nothing too bad to handle. Cooking up some home-made lasagna and garlic bread with cheese today is also keeping me busy. I will be cutting lawn a little later too. Keeping busy seems to be the big thing for me. As long as I'm not sitting and dwelling on the thoughts of smoking, I seem to be getting along quite fine. Hope we all beat this nasty adiction for GOOD!!!!Have a GREAT weekend, be talking with yous on Monday or Tuesday. had enough My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/19/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 128 Amount Saved: $22.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 34 Seconds: 33

Well, i have to see my ex-husband when I pick up the children to come back home... I'm not gonna tell him that i quit, because he will puff in my face, and even make sure he gets his cig in my car somehow. He's a Nasty so and so. Other than that, i guess that I don't really have a special plan for the weekend. Gonna cook a big meal for the kids for them coming home. Might go up to the mountians to get out fo the heat a little bit too. It'll be nice to breath up there... and smell it up there. I threw a tantrum earlier today - but i did not cave in. I stayed strong. tonight i ended up having a nice long whirlpool while listening to meditation tapes, gave myself a facial and a manicure, It really helped. Stayed close to this site throughout the day. Kinda held on like it was my security blanket, read posts, posted etc etc. Tomorrow.... hmm not sure about tomorrow, probably clean, keep as busy as i can. Maybe do a bit of crafts, needlework or something to keep my fingers occupied. not sure yet... Hope all you extinguishers have a safe and fun weekend Celeste My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 11 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 262 Amount Saved: $112.2 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 22 Mins: 0 Seconds: 59

I am doing great. I feel pretty calm and relaxed. I had a really normal week. My husband and I went out to a lovely dinner Friday night to celebrate. Spent the afternoon with some friends who are heavy smokers today. Was a bit worried and I had some brief moments when I thought....hmm I would really like to take a drag of your smoke...but of course did not. I think that is how I'd best characterize this past week - I want to smoke at times but I know 100% that I will not. Exercise has really helped. Im up to 3.5 km now - yeah! And I would really seriously recommend laser therapy. It is a godsend. Its expensive but it really really works. I have only experienced two or three 'CRAZY' episodes since I quit. Good post Roxy! Tomorrow Ian and I will go for a picnic to celebrate our two weeks. We will try to get as close to the airport as possible to see the planes flying over. We're not plane-spotters or anything. Just for the noise and thrill of it. It's been so hot over here the past weeks, but, Bob's your uncle, I'm sure it will be raining. As for the not smoking bit, flipping heck, it's still hard. Wish they did flavoured toothpicks! Ian has an easier time with it all. We should do this every week! Well, Jenny (7yo) and I just got back from our Egyptian Mummy Exhibt at the Exploratorium. We saw the 3D Virtutal Mummy Tour and the IMAX film. We spent about 5 hours there. We had so much fun. We also went out to lunch at a real resturant :) This was my first long car ride smoke-free (a little over an hour to get to Mobile). I got lost once and had to figure out how to feed a parking meter (can you imagine 4 years in NJ with frequent trips to NYC and I've never fed a meter lol). We had so much fun just us two "smoke-free" and "no thumb sucking" girls out on the town :) !! No plans yet for tomorrow, but what ever they are it will be smoke-free My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 203 Amount Saved: $35 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 11 Mins: 44 Seconds: 17
