Last few days have been hard, really wanted to smoke

17 years ago 0 772 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I have thought about smoking a lot the last 2 days. I dont know why but today was really bad, I really wanted to smoke, and i felt deprived that i couldnt smoke, just like i did in the beginning. I am on day 45 today, so surely this should not be rearing its ugly head again. I even got the junkie thoughts where I thought well if i am thinking about it all the time again, I may as well smoke. I am due to go camping this weekend. I thought how great it would be to sit outside the tent at the weekend, having a smoke. I havent smoked, I just needed to post this here as today I really have thought about it, and how it wouldnt matter if i had just one, after all i have gone nearly 7 weeks without one, surely one wont hurt? (I know the answer to that, but my junkie self is sometimes getting control of me right now, and i dont really know why. Sorry but i made a promise that i would post before i smoked. Right now i am very close to smoking, and this seems to get closer and closer. I dont know why, in my heart I definately do not want to smoke. But my head just wont shut up about it. Niks, So glad to hear from you. I was worried about you. It is funny that you say its like coming out of a relationship. Thats exactly how I look at it now, because I had simular emotions after a breaking up with my first love. Except I have been seeing,(we will call him cigs) longer than I have been married. I just have to remember how unhealthy he was for me,and remember I did get over my break-up,and the emotions went away. When I look at it that way it seems to help me. Whatever works right? I am very proud of you,and have faith that you can make it. Nik: Are you still with us???? I'm worried..... Please respond! I don't know why after such a lengthy time we still have such strong urges. You would think the "addiction" had been won. I also have such an overwhelming desire at times. I cancelled my vacation, which I had intended as a reward. I could not trust myself! :) I think, at least for me, that I need to stick with my routine before I go and throw something else in. The work week is fine, week ends are hard, so a vacation (I figure) will throw me into a tizzy!!!!! Please stay with us Nik! I look forward to your posts!
