#21 Write a "goodbye" letter to your cigarettes. And/or write down a list of your reasons for quitting. Crave the Quit! #32 Get yourself a quit buddy or two or three. They will drag you along when you cannot walk alone. Having a quit buddy also allows you to drag them at times, making you stronger in the fight. Helping somebody else is often helping yourself, so if you have a few quit buddies, you are definitely helping each other. It's amazing how much good accountability does, and having a few quit buddies makes you accountable to each other. Yes, this entire group is like an accountability group, but some individual people who you are closer to and can share with is much better. They will often save you from yourself when you want to give up. Having a few quit buddies is probably one of the most important things you can do in this journey! Crave the Quit! #8 Come to the site and read and post whenever you feel like you might give up. Post and wait for at least 10 resposes. By the time you get that many responses, the desire to smoke has probably passed. This one thing alone has saved my quit on a number of occasions! Crave the Quit! Pam My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/28/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 250 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,260 Amount Saved: $1032.5 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 4 Mins: 12 Seconds: 34

N2k, SNAP could be Smoking Not A Possibility... rather than option. Although, to be honest, I didn't catch it until you said something... it could be the tired, confused state I'm in, but if you say that Option begins with a P, then I believe you! :) Crave the Quit! #12 Anticipation. Try to watch ahead by a minute or two as you go through your day. Watch for upcoming times you would have lit up. When you see a time coming, expect the mother of all craves to hit you right square between the eyes. Mentally prepare for it. Chances are, it will end up being quite wimpy, if it happens at all.
