I have a big "attitude" toward Ole Mr Nic and I am sending it your way. He's one dirty disgusting and deadly ole feller. He gets in your head and starts drumming away. You have to learn to kick him out by distracting yourself in various ways.
don't look too far forward. Just take care of now. Tell yourself that this is a "choice". You choose to not smoke....it's not that you can't?....but not doing it is your choice. Realize that YOU haven't been in control of things....your addiction has....now YOU take the reins....the junky in your starts rebelling. Like a nasty little toddler, he has to have his fits....has to try to get his way. Deal with him firmly.....don't let yourself be drawn into dwelling on the craving. Acknowledge it, then turn and busy yourself with some distraction. It will pass without lighting up.
and the truth is,,,you ARE okay....it's HIM that isn't doing so well......he hasn't had a fix, and that is telling on him. Hang right in here....it WILL get better....and the pride and freedom you will feel are awesome
