Need a celebration hint!

What a great reward idea! People celebrate sobriety and abstinence in 12 step programs (AA, etc) all the time and generally take a cake every year, so why wouldn't you? There is no age limit to celebrating success, determination and courage. See, now you can have your cake and eat it too! Who says 45 is too old for a celebration cake? If you have gone for a whole year without smoking, you deserve to eat the whole thing!

You should celebrate, jump and down and, of course, you should have a cake! What an amazing accomplishment and I can think of hardly anything that is more important to celebrate! It's your cake - so you get to pick - whatever you want it to look like! Congratulations! Hi there everyone!! I don't post very often but when I do, I am happy that I did!!! Soon I will be celebrating one year smoke free!!!! and would like to share with some friends - I am thinking of having a cake made but not sure what to put on it - any ideas? Do you think that it is silly for a 45yr old person to do this as a way of celebrating/acknowledging this milestone for me? Any ideas will be appreciated!! To all - have a great day - self talk helps wonders if you are having a 'bad' day - no matter your number of smoke free days - you don't want to give any of them up for one silly cigarette!!!! Thanks!!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/25/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 336 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,729 Amount Saved: $1176 Life Gained: Days: 33 Hrs: 15 Mins: 31 Seconds: 56

LBZEE, wow almost a year, great, what's this I hear too old to celebrate, that means I would never celebrate anything for the rest of my life, I'M way older than you and I never miss a paaaarty, I love celebrations. You've been reborn, this is the new you so put a picture of yourself as a child on your cake!!!you didn't smoke then and you're a non-smoker now, all is right. Come back and tell us all about it will you? :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 105 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,582 Amount Saved: $420 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 21 Mins: 55 Seconds: 13

I think a celebration is a wonderful idea! Perhaps the international no-smoking sign on the cake?
