I am glad to hear that you are doing so well. I know it's hard...i have it on my mind 24/7 thinking about the day i will quit. I dread it, but also look forward to it at the same time.....i won't be on here over the weekend as i don't have a computer at home, but i will check on you on monday to see how you are doing again:) Hope you stay calm and at ease all weekend....and yes, it's a BIG DEAL that you quit, no matter what your family feels...it's a HUGE DEAL.....don't forget that. It's all about you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aw!! ((((hugs)))) for you!! Yes I felt like crying.. my head had a full on tantrum like a child when I first quit. it IS very emotional but it DOES get better IF you dont smoke at all, if you smoke you go right back to day one, and my god you soon get fed up of that. Stay with us, post and read as much as you can.. we are here for you if you need it. Congratulations on your quit! I dont know if you get it in USA or elsewhere, but i tried Skinny Cow ice cream yesterday, wow only 73 cals and 0.7% fat... and it tastes good. Might be good for those first few days of quitting if you dont want to put on weight, probably, but i ate all four in the box which probably did not help at all. Just hang in there. This quitting stuff is like the weather in Houston, If you don't like it, wait a while, it will change. I also had a lot of depression and sadness in my third week and I let it get to me and lost my quit. I had to restart my quit meter! I would have had 22 days today if I had not done that! So just hang in there and do somethings besides smoking that might make you feel better. Don't do something that you are going to regret later. Your mind belongs to you, not nicotine. Take it back. Stop believing the lies of addiction/Nicodemon. Addiction shoves our heads into the ground. It does not want us to see the truth. The truth is you are loosing nothing by quitting. Tell yourself that. Believe it. When you quit smoking, it is very uncomfortable. Hell, you've been smoking for how many years? But guess what? This all passes and it gets better. It does! There is light at the end of the tunnel. Take some comfort in knowing that. Hi there and congrats on your decision! Just like to echo Jerlasvegas's comments. All I would add is that yes, you will probably feel tearful, sad, tetchy, really bad tempered, but at other times happy as well. And throughout your quit you should feel proud of yourself! This is difficult, but the best decision that you have ever made Take care Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 129 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,885 Amount Saved: 967.5 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 14 Mins: 14 Seconds: 29

Dear KidsRCrying, It's a very emotional time when you quit smoking. Our feelings tend to come out in full force, and no ciggies to hide behind, we must now face every feeling head on. Just let it out. It's normal, it's good for you and I always say if you keep all that stuff in - you eventually implode! Let it all out, be gentle with yourself and take care. It's a tough thing to quit smoking, but you'll be fine - just look around.
