An Ex-Smoker!

And a great request it is! Thanks for asking, Mr. Ed! How happy it is that I have been quit for a year and 7 months! I'm a middle-aged woman who smoked at least a pack a day for 40 years. I'm still getting used to the new me and really loving it. Here are just a couple of benefits I see so clearly: 1. I can breathe. My "asthma" is gone. No hacking in the middle of the night. My inhaler is at the dump. I can exercise and walk and do all sort of things without getting winded. 2. Things smell so good! My car doesn't have that stale smell anymore and people don't turn up their noses when they ride in it. My house smells better because there is only one smoker in it now, not two. My clothes, my hair...all sweet smelling! 3. Less hassle. No making sure I've got my smokes and lighter everytime I move from one room to another. No having to stock up on cigs when I travel. No fumbling around in the car, dropping lit cigarettes. Those are just three of my personal benefits. I bet others have more to add. Let's go!
