As others have stated, don't quit quitting! I have quit several times now, and the last time I was able to stay away for 3 1/2 years, but I got complacent and figured I had this thing licked, WRONG!!!! It will get easier, with time behind you, I promise. I know the struggle there is when you first go without smoking, cause I'm going through it again myself. I just remember that every time I quit, it is that much less smoke doing harm to my body. I'm not perfect, but I CAN do it one day at a time. Good luck with your quitting! HI LOVES 2 FISH, I HAVE FALLEN OFF THE WAGON MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS. THIS TIME I WAS REALLY READY AND IT HAS BEEN SO MUCH EASIER SO FAR. I STARTED DIETING BEFORE MY QUIT DATE, WHICH HELPED. PREPARE YOURSELF AGAIN. THINK OF ALL THE POSITIVE THAT WILL COME OUT OF QUITTING. I PRAYED ABOUT IT. WISHING YOU THE BEST AND I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT! Hi, I joined about a week ago, I set my quit date for 8/8.. so tonight when I go to bed....THAT'S IT. I have been reading and printed out all kinds of information and have a plan in place. A few times I tried to quit I didn't tell anyone. (so if I failed, I wasn't ashamed.) Well you know what it is better to try and fail, then not try at all.. You can try and succeed! I am hoping that all my plans, emotional support here, and mints, etc in place. I have also announced it to the family. I really feel more determined this time and doing it for ME not because someone is "nagging" me to. :)dawghouse

Hey Loves2Fish; Glad to hear you are ready to dump the habit again! This is my third and final time at it. I expect to succeed as it has been the easiest quit (by using the tools here & posting w/other quitters) and I'm tired of "wanting" to quit. Lots of great successful quitters are here to help by listening, answering questions & to give great tips on surviving this 'stop smoking' life change. Hang in there! Danielle, maybe i will try cleaning things like my lampshades, my curtains, that stink like smoke...that will be wonderful to get rid of that rank nasty smell finally. I want to go out and buy 100 bottles of fabreeze and go beserk in my house so it won't smell so stale anymore. I'll find some way to make it all worthwhile...i will do something nice for myself!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my last one at 7am this day. I don't ever want to have a new quit day again. Good luck to all of us. And good-bye to nicotine and all it's deception. Aruba, Start thinking of what you will do instead of going back to smoking tonight. Why not treat yourself to a movie? You deserve a reward for your first smoke free day! Danielle __________________________ The SSC Support Team
