Thought I should let you all know what happen, so it does not happen to you been smoking about 2 weeks. Had alot of family issues, was kind of depressed, but I was managing ok, until we went out with friends. We were having a good time. i had one to many drinks and someone handed me a cig, and of course it escalted from there. So here I am. It sure did not help to make anything better. It really made things worse. Now I feel more like crap because I gave in. I am going to the doctor on friday, to get some extra help Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Cuddles, You will find the temptations come throughout the quit. Unfortunately, there is no magic pill for quitting. I hope your doctor can help you but you have been around here long enough to know that the quit comes from within. You are amazing Cuddles. You have fought this battle and you have won time and time again. Arm yourself with all you have learned and go out and win those battles again. We are here to support you and help you through the best we can. Alcohol and quits don't mix. We have seen it time and time again. When I was on the cruise, we were at a piano bar one night having a couple of drinks and I kept watching this guy about my age that was smoking. I was literally staring at him. My friend told me to knock it off. I was mentally smoking that cigarette with him. Then I thought of all those I had seen on the same ship that either being pushed in a wheel chair or pushing one of those little carts because they were hooked up to oxygen. Quickly, the envy left me. Any other drinks I had were in non-smoking areas. We have to protect our quits at all times. We just get good at it after a while. Temptation will always be there. Hang in there Cuddles. You are a winner and you have what it takes to quit and stay quit! Cuddles, Stuff happens. Whoever handed you the cig, you need to let them know that they did you no favor. I swear, smokers HATE to see people quit! The next time you are out with your "friends", make it quite, quite clear that no matter how much you may drink, or beg for a smoke while being intoxicated, they are NOT TO GIVE YOU ANY! Of course, the best way to avoid that is to avoid those situations... at least until you know that you will never give in. That may take a year... or more. Being quit is so worth the small sacrifice. Hey.. don't feel like you have to wait 2 more weeks to quit again. :p [b][color=Purple]Be Strong. Be Smart.
