Dear friends,
A whole month has passed and even though I still have that urge, I am trying my best to keep this quit. A month ago, I would have never have thought that 1 day was possible...But it is and if I learned anything about myself and human nature it is ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND HAVE THE HELP OF SO MANY OF YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE ON THIS SITE.... IT CAN BE DONE. Today will be a test. I am going fishing on a boat with friends..one who was a smoking buddy for me. We were the only ones of the group who smoked and shared many puffs outside in the heat and rain over the years. I am trying to get him to quit, telling him about this site and the support it gives. But he will when he is ready.
A huge thank you to all of you for encouraging me. I could not have done it without you. I am determined to keep my quit. At times, I feel so wonderful and proud that I managed to stay smoke free for this amount of time after smoking for 32 years. Other times I grow weary and have to fight that urge. But this is a fight for life and health and for time to spend with my family and friends, and for my children. I want to see them get married and have children of their own. I want to grow old with my husband. So I will endure. We all will endure and fight this addiction. Thank You Again
