Well gang, this is it! My last day at the beach. My bags are packed and I'm ready to head over to the villas! Thank you Redrosie and Sunshine for keeping the beach going! You two are very awesome ladies! I'll come back to visit, of course! Keep the beach going! It's been a pleasure being here with you on this beach! Crave the Quit! I have never seen such a swarm of new people on the beach at one time. This is absolutely fantastic. I'm grinning so big my teeth are going to fall out, and they are all my own teeth. :8o: It does my old heart good to see so much success in one spot. You Shamrocks sure are an awesome group. Got Ol' Nic cowering in a corner in a puddle of pee. :eg: Stand tall and proud. At least as best you can in a hammock. ;p The beach was started quite a while ago by Duffis. He started it as a goal for quitters to achieve and it has served it's purpose very well. We should all take a moment to thank him for this superb addition to our site. Duffis, Thank You. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 385 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,702 Amount Saved: $1463 Life Gained: Days: 71 Hrs: 19 Mins: 6 Seconds: 52

Duffis' original post that started this whole train a-rollin': Some how my brain slipped into gear this evening and I started thinking again. I have often thought that reaching 100 days quit was a major milestone and that we ought to have a club for that. We have clubs for every thing else. MajorDude and all of you that are close to 100..........what do you think? This has become one of the hallmarks of the SSC. It is the first real target our members shoot for and, I believe, has been the cause of many successful quits. The original thread has been viewed over 12,000 (!!) times. Duffis, you have done an awesome job here. Thank you. I will miss so many celebrations. So many of you coming to the beach. Congratulations Shamrocks and welcome!! As you celebrate your 100 days, I will be off celebrating my one year with a three week river rafting and camping trip. Please excuse my absence and my lack of individual congratulations - find a hammock, soak up some virtual non-harmful sun rays, play in the surf, nap in the shade of palms and puff up with pride.
