I can now handle little emergencies that pop up without going into the bill money. My computer got fried by lightning. I have to have the computer for my job or end of job. I reached behind my dresser into my stash I created by quitting smoking(lots and lots and lots of five dollar bills back there). I grabbed 155 bucks and went to the puter shop and bought me a used computer with exel already on it and was back online with my job before the next business day. That computer worked so well for only 155 bucks that I ended up giving it away to my mom (her first) and bought me a new compaq tower for 325 bucks. I still have a crowd of 5 dollar bills back there. I feel great! So great that I quit some other not so healthy habits because im starting to actually get addicted to good health and energy. I have always been convinced (before i even quit) that smoking is the number one cause for depression. Why shouldnt it be? Smoking is the slowest most torturous form of suicide there is. The best part is that at least a 5 dollar bill a day is still going behind my dresser and now some change from some of the other bad habits. No, the best part about it I mean, is that people I love that still smoke are watching. They are observing my attitude about it. I can read it on their faces.They want to stop too and it all depends on me. They want to see it done to build their confidence about quitting. Greg - I smiled cuz this is terrific - I laugh because my husband does the same stash thing in the same place. Very kewl. People do watch ~ the last few people at work that still smoke ALWAYS ask me - so how long has it been? How is it going? Which to me is funny as heck because if it wasn't going well, I'd be standing next to them right? Glad to hear there's extra cash laying around for you....
