My son quit the same day as me and yesterday he finally started smoking again. This was after having "only one" the day before and putting his patch back on.
The nicotine addict in me first reacted by thinking that maybe I should just smoke too, I even started thinking that if he can then I can also, and it's not fair, HE gets to smoke.....then the nico dragon slayer in me came out and thought, THERE IS NO WAY I EVER WANT TO HAVE TO QUIT AGAIN...:mad:I have to make this quit work so I pushed those NASTY NEGATIVE thoughts out of my mind and proudly breathed air in and out.
The most valuable lesson for me here is that although I have a thought, I don't need to act on it.
Yay! I am having another great smoke free day!
