WOW! A marathon....and I think i'm really doing something when I make it 15 mins on the treadmill. You help us to realize that there are no limitations once we conquer this addiction. Thank you for the inspiration! Hello Fish! What a wonderful time of a year for your marathon. The leaves are changing, red, orange, yellow, and the temperatures have cooled a bit. Good luck and thanks for the inspirational message! Hey Fish, It's great to see you check in. I miss you on these boards. How exciting to be running as a non-smoker. I still feel out of breath at times but it is much better than it was when I smoked. I live in high altitude so I think that has something to do with it. Keep fighting this awesome fight. WOW Fish - a marathon. I have to confess that is one of my goals as well. But I think I will have to train for a long, long, long time. You have an amazing quit going there and I'm sure that you will find a girl that will put up with you - you sweet smelling thing you! Hi everyone... Marie - thanks for the cheers, they mean more than you know. Islandgirl - thanks for your kind words. I decided I could run a marathon and joined a training team to help with motivation and a good training plan. As nike says - just do it. You will surprise yourself. Don't sell yourself short. The team I train with is around a thousand strong - all different ages and abilities. Check your local running/walking organizations. ItsIronic - that in an ant farm, them fellas don't farm anything. Always good to see/hear from a fellow Ash Kicker - proud we are. Congratulations to you too! Josie - thanks, as always, for all you do. And thanks for reminding me to reward - I deserve one. ;) Windy - I'm glad you have made a good reason to celebrate a tragic day. I started right where you are. C'mon and catch up - you can do it. Never doubt it. AlleyAnn - you know, I had trouble sometimes feeling short of breath at times. It seemed to very gradually subside and I haven't noticed really being bothered with that problem w/in the past 2 months or so, perhaps you'll find the same to be true. Thanks for saying hi - it's nice to see you too. Gonnadoit! - you've got the right attitude, for sure. Just keep doin' it! Christine - hi, friend - you're lookin' great at 6 months. I'm proud of you - you've made it look easy. No hurries, no worries, indeed. The future Mrs. Fish is gonna have to be fast if she's gonna keep up with me... j/k I'm more a subscriber of the tortoise philosophy. Mr Ed - what can I say, ol' boy. Neigh. And by 'Neigh', I mean, will do, will do. Thanks. I bet you'd make a good marathoner, what with 4 legs and all. Taker easy, pardner - giddyup! Free - that's a great name. Thanks for your words. as always... keep fightin' the good fight - fish :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 277 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,331 Amount Saved: $1385 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 21 Mins: 49 Seconds: 41
