An hour is a long time. Though no one ever died from a panic attack, I'm sure yours was rough.
It might help you to review what you did and how your thoughts may have fed into it further to prolong it perhaps? None of us are therapists here. We can only suggest things to help yourself.
I would suggest you take our free Anxiety test and print out the results. These can be taken to your doctor and will make discussion easier during your appointment.
