Ughhhh....ok, so I didn't quit yesterday. But I haven't had one yet today. A false start I guess. Today is the day. I guess my false start was because I had a spite-smoke in the morning. My boyfriend was leaving town and we had a very unsatisfactory goodbye. He's a non-smoker, and I guess part of the reason I want to quit is because it bothers him so much. So when I felt frustrated with him I had a spite-smoke and sabotaged my quit day. I thought about it a lot and realized that I'm not quitting for him - I'm quitting for me! So far so good today. I can quit! I am quitting smoking tomorrow. I feel relieved, nervous, dread, fear, and a bit excited too. I feel like I've done all the planning I can. I just need to take the plunge. I'll be posting more over the next few days. Happy to have found this program.

Hi my name is meka! this is my 7th attempt to quit and its frustrating therefore i decide to take my anger out on cigarettes. I hate the feeling of being a slave to some stupid long oval thing that is white and cream ( i used to smoke newports). i am treating my addiction like a drug addict would. So to quiet that voice in my head that request cigarettes decide to use the nicotine patch. It makes me forget that i was even a smoker in the first place. this time i am more than determined to not ever smoking again. it would make it easier to have buddies that are going through the same thing i am going thru, so add me. Together we can look forward to a smoke free life.
