What a wonderful treat! I know how beautiful it was to meet up with Lady last Thanksgiving weekend. And I have talked to two other wonderful cyberfriends on the telephone. One of the most wonderful things about this quit is the wonderful friends I have made during the past 22 months. Hi All, I said to Joe I was jealous at his ability to post photo's etc. I manage to log on but much else is beyonbd my capabilities! Your responses made me cry...I so wish I could have met so many more of my friends from here. Gonnadoit....you are so right, the humanizing of our quits does help many folk. It helped me when I saw others meet when I first quit. Today, I travel to meet some more cyber friends from the start of my quit...this is my 2 year reward, albeit a tad early!!! I found this experience so amazing. I felt that I had known both UFO and Golferman forever. I was soooo nervous beforehand, and root beer was NOT quite the calming drink I had envisioned! You know we Europeans drink more than you guys anyway, but I had a glass of wine later to celebrate. Thank you both for agreeing to meet up, it was an experience never to be forgotten. Do hang in there all you new quitters...as we keep saying it DOES get so much better. YEAH FREEDOM!!! NEVER LOOK BACK, THE FUTURE IS AHEAD!
