Hi Suzy, thought I'd pipe in and say hello - another familiar face ;) I read through your intro and could relate - (post trauma) -- similar for me, the "event" pushed me but I acknowledge it's been a problem for me most of my life. Glad you're here and I'll echo Lady in not beating yourself up over the temporary lost quit. For those of us who suffer from severe anxiety & panic, it's often an accomplishment just to get up, get dressed and face the day. Right now, I'm just doing my best to put one foot in front of the other to show up for whatever is front of me - I've found distractions and staying connected to the support groups online as well as a support group in my daily life are helping a lot. luv & compassion, -SCBB

yuppers, I can belive it.. and I agree with you 100%. I think you truely have to have your mind set before the quit will work..I learned alot form taking that 'road trip' and why my last quit didnt work... I had gotten sick and didnt smoke for awhile.. then just went with it... So I didnt quit on my own at all.. so mine was a blown in waiting... You'll get there.. You're reading the posts here and the posts there..Paying attention to yourself. so I think your pointed in the right direction.

LadyD..you're right-- one thing and one day at a time. I'm going to set a new quit date and probably go thru the Road steps, which I didn't do before. It seems to be in the mind-set, which has to be extablished before anything succeeds, do you think? I hope that helps me.This is what I gave up by blowing my quit, and stil trying to figure out why..I felt so good. Three months, three weeks, five days, 22 hours, 31 minutes and 0 seconds. 2378 cigarettes not smoked, saving $725.27. Life saved: 1 week, 1 day, 6 hours, 10 minutes. ***can you belive this?????? :(
