PrincessC PrincessC I have read your posts over the last several days and I have seen a steady and growing strength in your demeanor. Your posts responding to those in need of your support will continue to strenght your hand. I say that 12 days and you still get urges is defintely in line, and you are analyzing and responding to the situations correctly; otherwise you would have lost your quit by now. Keep up the good work! You are getting closer to getting rid of those craving. I went grocery shopping and talked to my sister (non smoker for 5 years now). We discussed the implications of just one... She said i dont have a choice, she told me not to jepordize my quit. She listened to me throwing my tantrum, sympathized and soon enough we had been talking for 2 1/2 hours. Its hard to explain, i still feel the crave for one but i dont want one. I kinda feel a little crazy, i was drving back from the tire center and i was thinking, just one cig come on just one - it will be ok, and out loud i laughed and said... you know you CANT have just one and you are a fool if you think you can. You see one side of my brain KNOWS its wrong, the other side is that little devil on your shoulder constantly egging me on... come on.... you know you want it. Feeling kinda crazy lol. :confuse: Thanks everyone, feels like a long hard road all up hill at the moment, and i dont know where i would be without you guys helping me through. Princess, What would smoking do? Would it find the key, find the tools or fix the car? NO IT WON"T. All it would do is make you cough, make you feel sorry and cost you money. That said, breath in,... breath out... repeat as nessisary read your reasons for quitting, relax, be patient. Awsome job! You made it through this and now you KNOW you can make it through whatever comes your way! Everytime you overcome a crave you become stronger and more confident to tackle the next one down the road! Princes.. take some deep breaths. Smoking will not fix a thing. It won't make anything better and it won't calm your nerves. Getting through this situation without smoking will do wonders for you. You will know that you can make it through stressful situations without smoking. You will develop coping skills that make you stronger for the next situation that hits you. You will have confidence and be proud of yourself because you didn't give in and smoke. I don't know why you would want to smoke. You quit remember? Quitters don't smoke. You don't smoke anymore. Keep going. It will all work out.
