phreaknbz, You've set yourself up for quite the test, you probably needed this challenge to solidify your quit. Make sure you have all your coping mechanisms in place for cravings. Have fun in Vegas!! Danielle _____________________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hey Phreaknbz, Just goes to show that you can have a good time without killing yourself! Soon I'll be off for a holiday in the sun. I wonder if I too can enjoy myself without trying to acquire a respiratory disease at the same time! Take care Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 124 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,729 Amount Saved: 930 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 17 Mins: 24 Seconds: 30

Phreaknbz: Lookin awesome at 132 days. I agree that if you can WIN and not smoke in the land of smoking casinos - you're good to go! On the other hand, UGH! How could you have laid in the sun and smoked? When it was super hot (that's over 90 in the Midwest),I could not smoke (choke). Too hard to even breathe normally. The new job is a new opportunity to make a first impression and I would think that it would be totally EASY to not smoke because of this. They will always know you as a non-smoker. How cool is that!?. I constantly have all the smokers from my office ask me, so how many days? Are you still not smoking? Do you want to? Etc. They ask me how I did it, say they should quit and I know they won't - you know the drill. I'm rambling a bit, but I do want to wish you all the best on your new job and hope the remainder of your vacation is great and maybe you will win so much money that uhm,--- - new job is not necessary???? LOL. Mr Ed, It's wierd how much we miss this little habit and how we associate it with certain things. I have learned that if I start doing things without smoking then I stop associating the two things. But at first, its really wierd to not smoke while laying in the sun, or not smoke while doing my homework (that one was REALLY hard). Have fun on your smoke free vacation! Riverdale and CobenFan, I'll try to hit it big, but so far I'm afraid I haven't done so well. It's very weird to gamble and not smoke. I get restless and have to go do something else! I guess that's a good thing, I have to leave before I lose too much money ;-). OK, I think I am a sick puppy. I actually decided to go to Vegas for a quick summer vacation. I am starting a new job so I wont be able to go on a "real" vacation until next summer. I'm in VEGAS!! Everyone smokes every where. I've had a couple of good cravings, mostly after a couple of good drinks ;-). But, I just chew a piece of nic gum and it goes away. This is a big test and I probably could have gone to a less tempting place, but I think I may have wanted to test myself a bit. If I can not smoke here, I can not smoke anywhere. I've been here for 3 days and I haven't smoked. I came in from the casino and my hair smelled like smoke, which was really wierd. I crave a cigarette when I'm by the pool. I used to like to lay out in the sun all day and smoke my cigs. But, I layed out all day and didn't smoke and it all worked out OK. So, I think I'm going to make it through Vegas. On Monday I start my new job.. yet another test. This is going to be the year of tests, but I think I may actually be done for good. Thanks to all of you and thanks to N.O.P.E.
