Amazing who you meet...

Missy Fit, You know your restaurants well!! That is a Cracker Barrel! Humorous story... when we got there the waitress took our drink order. Lolly, not used to American "country" restaurants, ordered a beer. That took the waitress by surprise.. she said "We have root beer." We all had a good laugh as UFO and I explained the concept of restaurants that don't serve alcohol! Here in Kentucky we still have "dry" counties where no alcohol is even sold! MissyFit, How did you know we all blurted out "NON-SMOKING" in unison??? In the county where I live, Jefferson, all public places are now smoke free with a few exceptions that they are trying to fix. However, out in the country, where we were, smoking is still very entrenched in the local society. Give it time thought... smokers are a dying breed.. ;p Be Strong. Be Smart. Whoops! I inadvertently was in violation of.... Clause 2 of our User Agreement states, "You will not post any personally identifiable information within the Service, including but not limited to email addresses, your real name or any other information that could potentially identify you, another member or any other individual." So the picture I posted was removed, and darn well it should have!! Here is a new version that should be in complete compliance.... To those of you who saw our actual faces, please gouge your eyes out so as to not be able to identify us in the future! Thank you for your cooperation! Joe you lucky dog. There you stand with two of the most beautiful women in the world and I don't mean just looks, but their entire being. I am so glad that you and UFO finally got to meet our great quitter Lolly. To all three of you I, with great admiration, wish you well. Hi everyone, I am so sorry I missed this, and the frist pic. Very clever Joe to put happy masks on us.You mean the first one was naked? A little nevouse about that. How to put the meeting up in words is difficult. The feelings you under go in actual meeting someone that understands, and went through the quit right along with you, without the 'humanize' ( thanks gonnadoit) is amazing. I would of had a 'Beer' in celebration right along with you Lolly. When I got home, I did just that. I held the mug up, and with much pride, Hailed our awesome coming together for the good of our quit. Had alot of fun folks. Golferman has a very 'Humorous' laugh. He is a pleasure to be around. ( I think he enjoyed being with the ladies...) He is a real gentlefolk. Like Goferman said, Lolly is a hoot. I kept calling her Lolly, and thinking she was from Italy. 'France' is her residence. She made me feel welcome all the same. She is a very warm soul. Thank you both for the wonderful time. I too will never forget. Remeber new quitters, this all came about, because we quit smoking. Life is grand. I do know that restaurant, Joe! I'm a native of Nashville and lived there when and where the original Cracker Barrel originated. I refuse to admit how many breakfasts I've eaten there (no matter what time of day it was). Also, I'm just a little ways south of Nashville now in a dry county ... so I can certainly imagine the root beer scenerio LOL Ok, so... when you were being seated... did you all blurt out "NON-SMOKING!" at the same time? ;) Y'all be safe in your travels :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/2/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 610 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 12,208 Amount Saved: $2177.7 Life Gained: Days: 64 Hrs: 15 Mins: 7 Seconds: 58
