You guys are all far too kind. It takes all of us to make this community successful. I am just glad to be a part of it. I never would have made it this far without all of you. Thank you for all your kind words and for being there for me. A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities. This quotation is so fitting for our quit family. We are all on the journey of a smoke free life together. Those ahead are reaching back helping those behind, those together are leaning on each other, and those behind are pushing the others forward. It takes all of us together to succeed. Shevie once related to this journey as climbing a mountain. Im going to try to find that post and bump it up. Quitting is hard work folks and it brings with it a lot more issues than just not smoking. Most of us find our true selves through the process. We find out just how strong we really can be and how weak. Regardless of the stage of your quit you are in, there is someone who has been there, someone who understands and someone who is watching for what may come next. This is the most supportive group of people I have ever known in my life. We all come from different backgrounds, different parts of the world, are different ages, and have different points of view. That is what makes us successful. My reason for hanging around here is to help others break a horrible addiction that has controlled me all of my adult life. The freedom from smoking compares to nothing I have ever experienced. If you are struggling or feel like giving up just hang on tight, lean on those traveling with you because you are going to love being a non-smoker. Lady, Another great post from our great Lady. What separates you from so many here is the depth of your words. You don't just type posts, you create a message that moves off of our screens and into our minds and bodies. Your sense of community here has made you one of the cornerstones of this site. Everyone here is so much richer today for your presense and your insight into this addiction we are all fighting. You are not just climbing that mountain, you are pulling everyone up with you. Best wishes. Be Strong. Be Smart.
