Hi Ann, Thats some good advice for yourself. My first day was awful. I was real antsy and didn't know what to do with myself. The breathing techniques and having mints or gum around helped me. Also some people have cut straws in half and chewed on them. Whatever gets you through the momment, just don't smoke. N.O.P.E. Not One Puff Ever. You will get through it! day 1 - been craving a bit through out the day. cravings lead to me feeling angry and frustrated, and when the anger grows that is when i usually loose self respect and adopt the 'i dont care, - im going to smoke - whats the big deal' attitude. what i've been telling myself is that these cravings will pass. emotions i can deal with at a minute to minute basis. feeling become so much intense - they're feelings - they're not going to kill me like cigarettes are. need to chill out, meditate and relax. take things one day at a time. today i've got choice and im taking responsibility for myself. giving myself a pat on the back. will keep close ann My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/20/2006 Smoke-Free Days: -1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: 0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0
