Gonna, good job on not caving. I'm around temptation all the time. While you were getting a BJ (LOL), I'll bet your daughter was more jealous of you being a non-smoker, than you were of her smoking that nasty ol' thing. I like you sometimes think it smells good, and other times I can't stand it. I think it depends on if my nicodemon is awake or asleep. ??? OMG can I ever relate to the feeling guilty over "thoughts" of smoking! Because I considered it, or entertained the idea of or allowed myself to think "too long" about smoking . . . I secretly felt guilty about all of that. I finally got to a point where I realized that I am simply human. But I don't like to think that way as I have a perfectionist streak a mile long - - yeah, like I'm Super X-Smoker don't cha know . . . jeesh! After 37 years of smoking I'll probably have lots of thoughts about smoking and for a lot longer than I think I should. I think you're getting very strong in your quit Gonna. You have every right to feel great about your choices tonight. WTG G!!! I became upset over something and I noticed how I was reacting. 1) Heart rate increased / heart was beating out of my chest. 2) Sweat began to form on my hands. 3) Became agitated. 4) Thoughts of wanting a smoke really bad. 5) Inner voice was saying race to the store and buy a pack. 1 will not hurt. 6) Outter voice was saying outloud, "The junkie is talking. Coping skills are ready for deployment." a) Move away from the situation. b) Grab your gum and shove it into your mouth. c) Cover your ears so you cannot hear what the person is arguing about. d) Take deep breaths and count to 10 as exhaling the O2. I think my coping skills are getting stronger like yours!! You did *most excellent*!! Gonna I have had same problems during the time I used them. I think it's different batches, I would find 3 or 4 in a box that wouldn't stick. I'm sure there's nico in them, don't worry.. hihihi so you went from 10 to 7 not bad right? I found that going from 21 to 14 was ( we won't say) and 14 to 7 less hard, but still something there and then 7 to nothing even less problems. I think the way you're doing it should be just fine, then you go to 5 right, as long as you don't go to fast. Take care. Have a good week. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 110 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,664 Amount Saved: $440 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 15 Mins: 14 Seconds: 2

Gonna, ok I won't be too proud of you if that's what you want, but listen, you went outside with your smoking daughter and you didn't smoke..... how great is that? Second hand smoke can be tricky though in my experience, I remember posting about it a while back, when I went to my smoking friend's house, they would be careful not to smoke close to me, but the smoke has a way of following you doesn't it? Well the next day I would feel like I was going through withdrawal again, so I suggest staying away from it for a while longer, in my case I didn't stop smoking to inhale other smoker's secondhand smoke so I will stay away from it. Hope you feel better soon, have you gone down on the patch lately?Maybe that's it, you're going through an adjustment period. Take care :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 110 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,657 Amount Saved: $440 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 13 Mins: 37 Seconds: 10

Yes, Marie, I passed the test....However, it was definately a mental struggle!!!! I wanted to REAL bad! The company's gone, everyone is either asleep or watching a movie in the living room. I am tickled with myself because I could have done it, but did not...I guess it is even the thought that kind of bothers me...I can smoke if I want to...nobody is stopping me. I choose not to, but the desire, even not acted on, makes me feel terribly GUILTY! Don't be too proud of me... After that post last night I walked outside with my oldest as she smoked on the porch. Found myself sitting where her smoke came directly towards me (a little second-hand snort?) When I came in my 19 year old said I smelled like smoke and I told her I didn't smoke, but I kind of felt like I did. Now the big joke is I was hanging around the smokers for a blow job! Gotta get ready for church---I'll pray about that last inappropriate remark while there!
