Stubz (how do you pronounce that?) So glad to see you at 30 days...that connection between alchohol and nicotine can be difficult. I have used both substances (along with others we will not mention) just to feel alright...The irony of that is that I was alright without any of it and so are you...Please keep up the great work, you are so young and leaving this behind now will add layers of quality to the coming years... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 194 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,820 Amount Saved: $1,358.00 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 8 Mins: 50 Seconds: 38

Congratulations on 30 days tomorrow Stubz and what a pleasure it is to see such a happy quitter!! I'm also pleased to see that you addressed the drinking issue from the get go - so much easier facing up to it now than having to address it way down the line! It's done with - well done! As for staring at the packs in the store; it happens, out of curiosity and disdain I think, but it will pass! Keep on keeping on and I hope you facial injury has mended satisfactorily. Moral? Watch out for car doors!! All the Best :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1144 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 22,880 Amount Saved: 5,720.00 Life Gained: Days: 183 Hrs: 18 Mins: 16 Seconds: 24

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Really excited to hit my 30 days Saturday. My mother is getting married. I have been drinking more than usual, no problems or nothing, just alot of occasions, lol, but I haven't smoked. I notice I have been staring at the cigs when I check out in a convenient store. Not sure what the stare is, I don't think its a longing but I know its not disgust quite yet! Im doing what I can! Heres to another happy page in my quit journey. Alright. Back to my little quit page. I quit last Sunday. So today I am 7 days smokefree. I made it through hell week again. I didn't want to post until I made it through my first week so here I am. That's great news, Stubz! Keep on keeping on. Are you feeling any better yet? Sounded like you had some other health issues going on. Great going, Stubz! Sounds like you're still chugging along. Great story about getting torqued off at your boss. I laughed at that one. I'm happy to see you're still going strong and keeping a good attitude. Might consider getting rid of the pack you are holding on to. I understand the psychology of it but at some point you might want to get rid of that thing. Maybe empty it out and keep the empty box as a reminder.
