Thanks for the post Valic...we newbies need to hear from people like you. This is my first week (day 5) so I seem to be a little obsessed with the smokes right now. I am looking forward to the day when I can stop thinking about them. Congrats on 2 months! Awesome! 2 months!!! Congrats to you, Valic. You've worked hard for every day under your belt, and I'm really glad to know that the cravings are less frequent. Thank goodness there really is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep up the great work, KTQ, and keep posting. Cheers, Jan. Hi everyone, I have discovered that after about 2 months for me anyway the craving for a cig have lessened. I do still get the "crave" every once in a while but not like Hell and Heck weeks. I guess I have replaced alot of my smoking memories with non smoking memories. And I don't think about smoking that much either. When I first began my quit I would constantly look at the clock and say " this was my smoke break! Groan!" But now I don't even associate the clock with smoking. And since everywhere in Mass. is smoke free I only need to deal with smoke when I am going in and out some place. And then I think to myself "I cannot believe that I put all those harmful chemicals in my body!" Not to mention the advice and tips on this site have helped as well. I would not have done it without the awesome people on here! So for everyone out there who is having a hard time with their quits, it does get better you just need to work on it. And believe in yourself when you say you will never have another puff again N.O.P.E. Thanks again everyone ~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 64 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 322 Amount Saved: $339.2 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 12 Mins: 5 Seconds: 5

Hi Everyone, I am here! I actually just posted because I am feeling kind of depressed today. I think its just one of those days that everyone gets now and again. I want to thank all of you for the wonderful and encouraging responses! They really picked me up and made me smile! I needed that today. Hope everyone is doing well in their quits! Remember: N.O.P.E. Thanks a bunch! ~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 75 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 378 Amount Saved: $397.5 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 6 Mins: 50 Seconds: 6

Hey, Valic! Yesterday was a bad day for me, too. Weepy, sobbing, no strength to go on -- the whole kit and kaboodle. Maybe there was some cosmic bad karma out there for all of us quitters. ;) But, today was a much better day. Hope it was for you, too. Keep the quit! You're doing a grteat job!
