Congratulations, Debi. You've made it through your first smoke-free day and survived! LOL.
Seriously, this is a fantastic step you've taken for yourself and those around you. Be proud of this day, and all the ones to follow. You're also setting a fine example for your sons and that is a wonderful thing, too.
Don't forget to reward yourself often. At least daily right at first. Rewards are so crucial to the healing process, both physically and emotionally. They don't have to cost much, if anything at all. They just need to make you smile or feel good about yourself. In fact, many of the best rewards are free. Take a few minutes a day just for you. Pause to watch a sunset, or stroll through a park (or window shopping), take the long way home, watch a child play with his/her pet, or just relax and take stock of the wonderful changes happening in your new smoke-free body.
Keep up the good quit, Debi. :)
