You're right. Thanks so much my2girls :) Windy!! I missed your post. How have you been sweetie. I posted in your tired thread. I hope you hang in there sugar. I am so sorry to hear about the two boys. How very sad to lose young ones in life. I hope my son lives a long life. I love him so much.

Thank you so much sunflower :) The sad part about this too is that they had just put an offer on a beautiful house because they needed a bigger space because of the baby. The baby passed away at the darecare center while she was at work ::cry::

Hi everyone. Sorry I was gone for a while there. Just been real busy with work and sometimes being on this board made me think even more of smoking. Anyway..I've been doing great. The craving believ it or not have become stronger after all this time. I think it's because I went to step 2 from step 1 with the patch. Today i learned that a very good and dear friend of mine lost her baby. I don't mean in a miscarriage. I mean his first birthday was later this month. He was the most adorable baby boy. His mommy and daddy are utterly devastated and I just feel so freakin mad! It amkes me feel like, why the hell should I quit smoking if when our time comes our time comes, rergardless whether we smoke or not. Deep down inside I know I'm not going to let myself smoke because of what happened. But I needed to say that outloud for everyone to hear. I bought myself a bottle of wine. It's safe, all the stores are closed and I don't have cigs in the house. I guess I just wanted to express how I felt. Thanks for reading. My Quit Stats Since Sunday, September 17, 2006, I've been smoke-free for: 19 Days, 21 Hours, 25 Minutes, 41 Seconds. I have saved $104.88 by not smoking 398 cigarettes. By not smoking I have added 1 Days, 15 Hours, 42 Minutes, 39 seconds. to my life expectancy.

Hi Hope So glad you posted but so sorry to hear about your friend's loss. I am in mopey mood tonight so perhaps I am not the best person to offer comfort. Although, I know all about having someone close to you lose a child. It happened twice in my family. Both were teens and were great guys. One Mom came up to my sister and told her that my nephew was the only kid who was nice to him all through public school. They were never super-achievers, they were never trouble-makers...they were just good, fun people. I remember feeling guilty that I was wasting my life, smoking it away (basically giving it away) when theirs was taken. I felt like they had so much more to do, so much more to offer and they never had a chance. I think sometimes I can make sense out of alot of bad things that happen in life but I can't come to terms with someone losing a child. I'm so sorry that your friend is going through this. There is nothing worse. I read your post in my "Tired" thread Hope and thanks for the support. Hearing what your friend is going through, makes a "tired" day seem very minor in comparison. There really aren't words to express how sad/unfair it is for this to happen to your friend. Glad you are still going strong with your quit and always happy to hear from you. Take care. Will be thinking of you and your friend Windy My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 518 Amount Saved: $125 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 11 Mins: 3 Seconds: 34

Glad you are back with us Hope. I am so sorry about your friends loss. How tragic. We all understand if you need an SSC break. Once or twice I kind of got disgusted with myself and took short breaks as well..when reading the posts made me want one that much more. Do whatever it takes to quit! We ALL understand and will welcome you back when you return...with a smile on our face and love in our hearts! :) Losing someone is very hard, especially when it involves an innocent child. Take care of yourself. I will be thinking and praying for you and your friend.... Oh my Hopeless, I am so sorry for your friends loss. That would be the most painful thing to go through. My heart goes out to them. You are right in thinking that smoking will not solve anything. It will however, cause even more confusion and madness in your life. Keep your quit safe at all times. Be thankful you have today. Tomorrow may not come. Take care of yourself, please. Reach out if you need us. We are always here for you. ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Life My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 215 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,476 Amount Saved: $703.05 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 8 Mins: 56 Seconds: 57
