Aw Zany I am sad to see your post. Dont take any notice of the tricks that nico demon is placing on you. I see we quit the same day, so I am with you every step of the way.. you are not on your own with this, you are right tomorrow is another day! You said you were going to bed, so I hope that you feel better when you wake tomorrow! Last night i went for dinner with a friend.... I only thought about it once, when sitted and it just went away. What REALLY helped me was that my friend is a non smoker!!! There were no cigs on the table! I didn't have..he didn't have. It is more easier when there are no cigs around. I was so proud of myself and i was just thinking of the moment to tell you. :p It's my 5th morning.Fresh and clean! i've seen other posts in here...and i'm worried for the weekend. :8o: I will go with some friends away... and only one -my best friend- smokes... need to stay away from her!! ;p If my weekend will be smoke free..then i have nothing to be afraid of!!! I want to create as many non smoking memories as possible. My smoking friend knows she can not smoke around me. I told her when I quit. That may sound drastic, but my quit is hella important to me. Plus the more I learn about smoking now that my head is out of the sand the more I do not want to be around it at all. I'm going to be one of those ex-smokers that I said I'd never turn into back when I was smoking ... LOL!!!! How funny! Cigarettes Not Smoked

Kate you may have to stay away from some friends for awhile or until you are comfortable enough to ask them not to smoke around you. That happened to me the last time. I let them smoke and when they left there was enough of a cig for a few puffs and quess what? I blew my quit. So now I will be on gaurd and let my quit come first. Besides that you can't smoke this week-end - we are on the same walk and I need my buddy ;) You have a great week-end!!! loves2fish yes prayers, indeed, coming your way kate, know, exactly, what you mean about it being easier with no cigs or opportunity around or about. myself, i am having severe cravings- all mental- i know this- it's just sneaky, nicodemon tricks- i have not lived up to my expectations of the way i should be as a person in at leadt 11 days- i am physically exhausted and though i have gained no wieght- i feel much more spongy and soft than prior to this- i hated my body before this- i hate it even more now- and i am sad- crying a little here- but i know in my heart of heart it's going to be okay, i will triumph, i have junkie thoughts, "like just a few cigs will help-energy will return- the fat, bloated feeling will go away" i know it's so not true, so now that i have typed this out, i'll go to bed- no cigs but hope, i do have, i have lived through this before, i'll live through it again only difference being is that come day 24, when i am finally, feeling the zest for life, no man will be ever to take that from me, b/c i have no man, which also makes me sad and feeling so undeserving of love, but i won't smoke and i know this will pass soon i will be high as a kite on life again yes soon, it will happen it will happen for all of us in the first month soon My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 12 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 468 Amount Saved: $78 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 1 Mins: 24 Seconds: 44

Kate ~ Hang in there Friends don't let friend drive drunk. Friends don't smoke in front of non-smoking friends. Oh - and most importantly, know who your friends are. Am I a MOM or what??? :p CobenFan My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 90 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,543 Amount Saved: $315 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 9 Mins: 40 Seconds: 24

kate - Good for you!! Make sure to protect your Quit with everything you have... Your Quit is vulnerable right now, and it can get hurt so just make sure to be aware of it at all times, no matter what time it is or where you are. And make a plan for the worst crave - especially if someone around you is smoking... You can do this!! CONGRATULATIONS... Morning Kate, You did really well last night! It does help when nobody else around smokes doesn't it. You'll be fine over the weekend, I assume as it is getting really warm in Greece now you'll be out in the fresh air most of the time so your friend's smoke shouldn't bother you too much. Have fun!
