Hi, DixieChick. Congratulations on 26 days quit. That's really fantastic!! :) What you're experiencing is perfectly normal. Seems like everybody gets hit hard right around 30 days. It lasts maybe a week and goes away. IT GOES AWAY!!! Remember that and hang on. Go through as much bubble gum as you need; they'll make more. ;) BTW, what brand do you chew? (I need a good stock tip) :p Keep up the good quit, DixieChick. DixieChick and Groovekitty - we have a December quitters club if you want to join...if not that's fine too... I'm nearing the 3 week mark myself - they don't call it Blah week for nothing!! Lots of gum and water and posting has seen me through thus far... Anyway, good luck in your quits - keep it up - you're doing GREAT...pat yourself on the back a couple times (betcha won't cough this time!!) Who said quitters never win? Thank you to everyone for your encouraging words! I've made it 27 days now...and 18 1/2 of Watermelon/Strawberry bubble gum. On the upside, I've actually lost weight from the quit. In the evenings, I've started running again...which I haven't been able to easily do in years. I lost 6 pounds! Anyhow, I'm glad to say I'm a quitter and I'll stay that way. Good luck to you, Messa, Groovekitty, kk, brentw1, Luci-Lou....we can do this! HELP! I'm 26 days quit and the cravings are crazy right now! The 3rd week was very easy for me. This week has been as bad as the first week was. Did anyone else go through this close to the one-month mark? If I smell a cigarette, I can't get the thought of smoking out of my head for at least an hour. I've managed to go through 17 packs of bubble gum so far!

Dixie, What you are feeling is normal :) Most quitters get this period at different points of their quit. Keep Strong and use your mechanisms! Try something active, like a brisk walk or stretching. Reading a book, or cleaning the house can also help. We said it was normal, not easy :) Let us know how you are doing? Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
