Hey Fairy, someone on this site told me one day "just think if you start smoking, you'll need to go through this first week of quitting all over again someday!!" I know I can't do this AGAIN.. so that's my biggest motivation to keep going this time. I also have someone else I'm quitting with (my friend).. but he has already said he's just going to smoke two a day (in the morning and at night).. so I know he's not ready to quit.. but I tell myself I "WILL" do this. Just stay on this site and keep posting.. like you have been.. this site is truly what's making the differnce this time...
I can't wait until we all wake up someday and dont even think about smoking!!! Can you imagine that day!!

Thanks for writing back so fast.
So, like your friend I tried the two a day thing, and the weekend thing, and the just when I'm around my smoking friends thing none of IT ever worked for me. However I know one person who always smoked only in social settings with other smokers. Can you believe it? Thats not me! It's all or nothin! This is realy hard but to be honest it's the easiest time I've ever tried. (The Patch I'm sure) I'm really counting on this being forever. I really don't want to put anyone or myself through this again! Good luck and stay strong I know we can do it!
Yesterday was awful, but I was getting through it... It was my second hardest time of day. The first one is morning the second one is preparing dinner while listening to my two boys scream and fight. My husband called me while I'm doing all this and says "I've had a bad day" "I agree." I said. He went on to say "I'm thinking about picking up a can of chew on my way home." (Let me remind you, he doesn't or didn't chew.) ""Because (he says) it's the same thing as you wearing the patch, right?" I want to scream!!!!!!! He was the type of smoker who would say at least once a week while smoking "I hate this and I'm quitting." Leaving me feeling awful because I LOOOOVVVED smoking....
Like all smokers...Yes I wanted to quit. But I was always the one in the hospital with pnemonia sneaking out for a smoke. So here I am, today is day seven.I know I can do this. My husband as far as I know hasn't cheated yet. He also refuses any NRT, "because he doesn't need it." This is driving me crazy!!!Thanks for listening to me vent you guys! I know you will understand! =)
