Welcome jeanigirl, What a great decision you made! I'm glad you realize that you are an addict(as are all of us here). We know that we cannot have even one drag(puff) of a cig. Has anyone told you about N.O.P.E.? Alot of us will write that on Post Its and plaster them around the house/office to remind us " Not One Puff Ever". Working the program at the left is a great tool and reading the posts is very helpful. If you need help just ask, these people are wonderful. I'll be thinking of you on Saturday the 10th and sending good vibes .:p You can do this.I smoked for over 35years and I still think to myself-wow I'm a non-smoker! I love it!! :) Trudy My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 78 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,810 Amount Saved: $233.22 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 14 Mins: 7 Seconds: 39

Woo Hoo another June-bug! My quit day is Sunday the 11th! I have set up so many things I must do if I want to have a cig that I would be tired before I finished! Here are a few suggestions that I think are going to help me along: I have a 16 page document that I have typed up with info on quitting, why I am quitting, words of encouragement...etc. I must read this 2 times before I can smoke. I have to look at myself in the mirror for 5 minutes (by a timer) I have to log on here and post atleast 10 responses/questions I have to walk 3 times around my block I have saved a ziploc baggy of old butts & ashes and I must open and take a big wiff. If none of that works I have to eat one of the butts in the baggy!!!! Feel free to try any of my suggestions...hehehehe especially the last one!
