2 weeks in and tired of stopping

Hi Lilly - HealerWithin is right, this is one tough trip (but the final destination is incredible from what I hear! One day at a time (or one hour at a time, if that's what you need to do). It's VERY tiring and at times makes you very restless, irritated and generally ticked off. Many emotions will play into your quitting, you're changing so much about yourself that it's to be expected. If you write your experiences (feelings, physical well-being, and changes down in a QUIT JOURNAL, it helps you not only validate how you feel, but prepares you to be better equipped to handle them the next time they come around. A quit journal also may present you an opportunity to be armed for battle the next time one of these "I'm too tired to quit" times comes over you. Stay strong and stick with this, you will be really glad you did. Also, a nap is highly recommended and got me through some tough ones. Hi lilly- I'm not sure where you read or heard it should be getting alot easier... This Quit journey is tough as hell... Each individual Quit is different. My experience from where you are is it is going to get a lot tougher, so YOU get tougher and put on your seat belt and hold on tight, dear one. Read the posts here - the new ones and the old. There is a huge amount of info here that will guide you and support you. It's time to be gentle w/yourself, build your toolbox of coping skills... stay focused and protect your Quit with everything you have!! Lilly - It does get easier but it does take a while for your quit to do this. This is an addiction that is the hardest to quit. Hang in there - come here and read and post, take lots of naps if you can - sometimes just lying down in a dark room for 5 minutes and concentrating on relaxing can give you fresh energy. I know that you can do this. Enjoy your healthy lifestyle!
