Thank you everyone. I am depressed today and thinking about smoking. I really don't want to smoke; but I can't quit flipping thinking about it. It is exhausting to think about it soooo many hours of the day. I am going to go swimming and lie in the sun for a while and read...relax a bit. Back to work tomorrow. When I am at work, my thoughts don't turn to cigs quite as often. The days off are harder for me. Everyone have a fabulous smoke free day. Cigarettes Not Smoked

I had to move some furniture today. The pick up truck driver was smoking. I didn't bum one from him. I was at a memorial day bbq. Out of the 9 people at the bbq, 7 of them smoked! I had a few little cravings, but my attitude saved me from smoking. I watched those smokers, (they all sat at a table together; the other non smoker and I sat at a different table with one of the smokers); they were drinking beer and smoking one cigarette after another. Sometimes it wasn't even 5 minutes apart. I remember those days; when nicotine had such a hold on me that I fed my cravings one after another after another. In the past, I would have given in and had "just one"; oh, okay, just 2...3..4..5. But, today was different. It was apparent to me that I was physically craving some nicotine from time to time; but smoking was not an option. It was totally a mental decison not to smoke. I finally feel that I might be in control of this. I felt soooo good when I got home today and had not smoked one cig! Plus, the past few days at work I only had 2, 2mg lozenges; and today, since I was off all day, I only had 3. That is great for me. Just wanted to share my good feelings. Thanks Sheba I have watched people smoking also. that is a good idea to envision the poisons going into their lungs. Thanks for your thoughts everyone. ex slave, I found if iam sitting with a smoker, witch i do at work iam the only one that does not smoke, I watch them when they take a drag, and watch the smoke come out of there mouth,it really looks bad,and really helps me with my quit. I think of all the bad things going into their lungs. try that sometime, you will see what i mean. You will think alot differnt about that cig.now then when you were a smoker. sheba 55 My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 479 Amount Saved: $57.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 6 Mins: 15 Seconds: 32
