Hi ldybug, I am in the same boat as you are. Trying again.. As for advise i don't think that I can give you any cause I didn't win this battle yet but i did it cold turkey the first time and that's how i am going again. i can't take the zyban or the patches makes me to jittery. but I can say that posting and reading help allot. Every one here knows what your going through and will go through along this journey. stay strong!!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: -14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Of course you can! Use the edge that Zyban gives you! The actual NEED for a cigarette goes away and leaves you with only the psychological needs. If you can tell yourself that while on Zyban, smoking will simply be a waste...no kick anymore...you're on your way. Also, begin to reduce your caffeine intake. Not only is it a psychological reminder of the cigarette...it is a hazard. When the nicotine levels in your body are diminished, the effect that caffeine has goes up. It felt like mine spiked exponentially and caused the jitters which I mistook as a crave. These people here let me know from experience that I had messed up with the caffeine. I eliminated most of it and the nag went away. I am no longer taking Zyban (Wellbutrin). I used it from fall until this spring (to avoid the sars thing) and have not looked back since :) Was it a cakewalk? No. Have I failed before? Many times. Am I through with failure? Certainly. Do I ever contemplate smoking? Fleetingly...and it becomes more so with time... Luck to you and hang in there!
