Ln, You're doing great. But I have one question: Is there anyway that your son could smoke outside and take his cigs with him???? I can't imaging trying to quit with cigs in the house much less smelling them. I bet he would do this if you would ask. It would help sooooo much. Just keep on doing what you are doing and when you see someone in trouble post on their forum, you never know who you are going to touch. Stay strong and stand tall in your quit. If you need help please comes to SSC first, post and wait for at least 10 threads to come back to you. This family will help you, believe me. Have a joyful Easter..... Blessings sent your way :) SUNSHINE My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 97 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,659 Amount Saved: $339.5 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 0 Mins: 55 Seconds: 55

Ln, You're and amazing person, 15 day is BIG. Your journey is off to a good start. I know how proud you must be driving 4 1/2 hours by yourself and not smoking. The car is a trigger for me also, so I must have smoked more in the car than I thought. Sounds like you are wlll prepared and that is a must. I see that you are drinking water and that is good. I couldn't give up my coffee either. But I have started drinking green tea (hot),(decaf) :eg:, it took me some time to aquire a taste for it. I also chew alot of gum, and use a straw to suck on, I keep tooth pick in the car, just anything to chew on. It may sound silly but it works for me. I look forward to watching you grow, don't ever look back, just keep on looking ahead, because the past will hold you back and you will miss out on all the good stuff. I know that you CAN do this quit, so stay in there and fight for your quit. Blessings sent your way. Ln, You are 15 days clean and that is fantastic. You sound like you had a great time on your trip and even on the drive home alone. The car is one of my triggers also. You got through the first two weeks which are the hardest. Just keep close to the SSC site now and have by you what ever you need to help you through craves. Drink lots and lots of water. When you think you have had enough, Drink some more. This is what really flushes your system out of those toxins. When you get in depression come onto the SSC and start answering others post. You will find shortly after that that you will feel your spirts lifting. Go back as far as you can and read old post. There is so much value in what you will read. There are many here that have quit on or about your quit date. You will find each other and form a friendship that will be invaluable as you grow in your quits together. You will find others that have some time that also will become invaluable with their words of wisdom in helping you through rough times. The greatest help is in knowing you are not alone, this is the toughest journey yet the greatest journey you will ever be on. Just take it minute by minute, to hour by hour, to day by day. Welcome home, and glad you are here. Hey Ln, you are doing great. To go on vacation and quit while gone, that would be a challenge. Question, did your house get clean while you were gone? Mine never would have. Hope to see alot more of you in the comming months until you reach your first year anniversary. You just keep taking each moment one at a time. Resist, and good plan to run to your bedroom sancturary and breath. There is nothing wrong with retreat if it helps win the fight.
