Thanks everybody. I couldn't do it without you all. I don't post a lot, but I read this site every day and it helped me a lot in my dark days. However, I think I spoke too soon (or jinxed it)about cravings. One constant craving today that is going on for at least 2 hours so far. I want that cig and I want it NOW!!! But.... I can't have one and I hope that this craving will go away. Why is that? I went at least a few days without even one craving and all of a sudden today I got hit with a BIG ONE? I know I have a long road ahead of me to be able to call myself an ex-smoker, but I wish that I am at the end of this raod. Thank again for all your good words. WOW!!!!! Never thought I will go this far. This is my first quit ever after 40+ years of smoking. 50 DAYS for me is a huge deal. I wish I can say that now I can relax and live my life as a non-smoker, But I know that I have to be on guard always, especially now. I rarely have cravings now and when I do they last less than a minute, but I think about smoking a lot and I really miss it. I just know that it is not an option for me, so I am taking one day at a time. Congratulations on 50 smoke-free days, Alexa. Fantastic accomplishment. :) Just as the craves have diminished, so will the smoking thoughts. The missing it part is normal and will also subside with time. Just ignore them as best you can, keep busy and distracted, and don't forget to reward yourself often. 50 days is great, but you're not done yet. Continue to be good to yourself. You've certainly earned it. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 341 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,826 Amount Saved: $1295.8 Life Gained: Days: 63 Hrs: 15 Mins: 8 Seconds: 42

Alexa, Congrats to you! 50 days is awesome! That is the best way to approach your quit, "take it one day at a time". Be sure to reward yourself today :) Cheers, Melanie ______________________ The SSC Support Team
