Nascar, Why are you not rewarding yourself? You deserve every reward you can think of a reason for. Besides what else are you doing with all that money you are saving? Keeping on top of rewards is important. You need to treat it like the big deal that it is so that others remember that it is a big deal. If you don't mention it neither will they. Hi Nascar, I tend to look at people's quit 'days' as in your case the 15th and do it by calendar month. If in doubt, in the case of a monthly celebration, celebrate as above, but also the 30th and 31st day as well. as long as I'm invited to all of the parties! So when do we celebrate our month anniversary? I know my 4 weeks was Monday. My 30th day is today so tomorrow would be a month (I think) but my quit date is the 15th (Thursday)! So I am so confused. Does everyone do it differently? Is your 1 month on the date of your quit a month later? Enlighten me! That is what I thought...the 15th of every month! I just was trying to jump the gun, LOL! I do celebrate whenever I can, everyday sounds like a plan to me! I haven't had a reward since end of week 1 so I am thinking of a good one for my 1 month! Nascarfan... It's progression :p In the beginning I counted hours....then I progressed to days.....the I started celebrating weeks...and somewhere around 4 months I started celebrating months. Now I'm getting ready for a year. AAAAhhh What a feeling! Hours turn into days, days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, months turn into years. Celebrate everyday! You are smoke free! IMO, NascarFan, the monthly anniversaries will be on the 15th, just as your one year will be. But weekly and 30 day increments work well, too. It's all up to you. We even have some that seem to celebrate every 10 days. Any excuse for a party, and that works for me. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 386 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,733 Amount Saved: $1466.8 Life Gained: Days: 72 Hrs: 1 Mins: 52 Seconds: 19

NASCAR (#6 I hope), Just the fact that you take the time to ponder about the accurate clocking of your progress is great. You see, we only keep score in life to see if we are gaining or losing. When we stay smober, we are definitely gaining. Stay strong with counting. I can place my stats' on my TaskBar (Good for family to observe when they visit). When Granddaugther comes over the monitor is the first place see goes to check my progress. Also, constant reminder to me about my right and greatchoices in life.
