I for one am here to promise you that this will pass....I can also tell you that the beginning days, weeks and sometimes a few months are the hardest part of quitting. It's natural to "miss" smoking. Personally, I used it to handle all occasions....stress, anger, happiness, relaxation, boredom...and on and on.....it became my constant companion....and then I became a total "slave" to it!
work on bringing this thinking out into the light....examine it closely.....smoking wasn't a friend.....it's a killer. It just wears wonderful disguises.
Set up a reward program for yourself....start thinking about how you are now in CONTROL of your own life. Make a list of the benefits of NOT smoking. Every time you begin those thoughts of "missing or longing" for smoking, drag out that list.....then come here.....just don't light up.
You WILL reach the day when you no longer think of smoking....and I can assure you that quitting will end up being the BEST thing you EVER did for yourSELF!
