da da-da-da da da......*screeching needle across the record* HEY! I thought there was a party going on here. Where is everyone???? Thank you Cheryl for starting this. It was great to come home and read all these replies. You are just awesome! OK.... Here I am.... A college graduate! Ceremony was sooo very, very cool. Inspirational speaker talking about how the journey has just begun and get out there and go get your new life... You've earned it! Cool stuff huh! They called my name and said... "Cum Laude" (that means I'm smart :p) It was awesome. I smiled walking all the way across that stage and knew you were all with me. Even heard some of you yelling! You guys are just great! Now.... what do you say we get this party going???? Its graduation night and there is a cause to celebrate.... No smoking allowed but we can still have fun. Anyone up for the electric slide???? (maybe I am getting just a little old :) ). Phillip, Don't feel bad... I didn't know what the electric slide was until I became a... See, this is something all of us midwestern folks call dancing. It's not like that hip grinding type of dancing like this... It's a line dance. In other words, a bunch of people (usually drunk ones) all crowd onto a tiny dance floor... but instead of mostly standing in one place and doing whatever moves they feel like, they all have to do the same moves at the same times and not screw up (if you do, you will either step on somebody else's feet or get yours stomped on!) and dance along with the beat of the music while everyone else does the same thing... and if one person screws up, it often causes a domino effect where that person bumps into another person and so on and so forth down the line!!!!!! And this is what we midwesterners call fun! ;) Personally, I LOVE linedancing... but when I first got to this state (I was transplanted from Southern California), I had NO clue what these people were doing!!! So Phillip, go ahead and try it... it looks something like this. Lady, I'm glad that graduation went well! You deserve that honors title... you definitely earned it! Alright Lady... why don't you show us what the electric slide really looks like!!!!! :p Crave the Quit! Today is the day! Sometime late this morning, our lady will join a group of like folks dressed up in cap and gown and honor cords, and strut across the stage to recieve a piece of paper to tell her how great she has done this last year. Little do they know all the struggles of her journey. We have been privileged to share many special moments from her life, and have her share that journey with us. Quitting smoking is hard work, and to combine it with raising kids, living with your dad, working, and going to school. She should get the highest reward there is. Join me in showing her our appreciation for the time and trouble we know she has been through. For all the support she offered to us, while working out her own problems. And for more than 300 days smober in the process. C*O*N*G*R*A*T*U*L*A*T*I*O*N*S JOB WELL DONE! YOU DESERVE ALL THE ICE CREAM that you can eat in 24 hours! ;) Thanks for sharing your life with us.
