Chickenlittle, Welcome abord. Good job on your quit. You can do it I did (am still) You just have to take it one second, one minute, one hour, one day at a time. Drink lots and lots of water.. You'll be so busy rushing to the potty you wont have time to think of smoking.. (just kidding) but really drink lots of water.. Let your boys know too about what your doing so they can be supportive. I have two also 11 and 7. My oldest is really tring hard to not fight with his brother. Knowing thats one thing that can set me off. Keep up the good fight. Hi Chicken Little, I am a cold-turkey quitter as well! It is very hard, but I wanted to quit. So can you! I just have to say that you have to quit for yourself. You can have your 2 kids as your inspiration though. But you have to want to quit for you.... and you only..... That was told to me when I quit, and I tell everyone I can! Stay strong and take 1 day or hour at a time. Post often! Great choice Chickenlittle (love all these chicken names), I agree with Shevie stay close to this site and remember the saying "I CAN" and before long you will be smoke free. I used the patch and had great success with it. I still have cravings, but when I look at my days and the # of cig's I have not smoked I get really protective of my quit. And I know that you will feel the same way. CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME!!!! TODAY IS THE BIG DAY!!!! A big welcome to you, I am on patches having failed previously c/t, but the biggest thing that will get you through is your determination to quit, regardless of what method you use. Keep 100% focussed, take it hour by hour at first or even cig by cig if needs be and keep close to this site if you need any help or advice.
