Bump up for those who,,,so called "slipped". Call it whatever you want, but I believe in calling it what it really is,,,smoking. If you smoked today you are a smoker today. If you want to quit then you'll have to do WHATEVER it takes to stay smoke-free. Coping skills have to be learned and used. Being honest with myself helps me to stay quit. 2 of the things I've promised myself are 1. If I relapse/slip,,,bottom line smoke, I have to reset my quit meter. Because if I'm smoking I'm not quit. Therefore the quit meter stops too. 2. Before I give in and smoke just one puff, I will come in here and post for help and read the responses. Then if I still want to smoke, so be it. I just got a year smoke-free and will have 10 yrs sober in April,,,GOD willing. I truly believe that self-honesty plays an extrememly big part in life.
These are my opinions & my ways of making it so far. Take from this anthing you want or nothing at all. I'm just sharing in hopes of helping someone/anyone.
No matter what don't lite up...
Keep on keepin on...
