Welcome Catindublin. Congrats on your decision to quit! I never could have made it this far without the SSC. Just remember, sign in here, read, and post an SOS, then wait for a response BEFORE you slip! Everyone here will hold your hand and help you through the tough days ahead. It does get easier. It seems like for me 3 months was a huge hurdle. After that, the smoking thoughts and craves really diminished. ____________________________________________________________ The key to a successful quit is staying true to yourself. CONGRATULATIONS CATINDUBLIN on a wonderful decision to quit smoking. We are all ready to take your hand, pull you up the hill, lend a shoulder to cry on, willing to listen to you rant and rave .... ANYTHING, just don't lite up. Your quit date is fast approaching so be sure to get your tools lined up. I'm talking about toothpicks, gum, cinnamon sticks, hard candy, ice water, etc. Also, you didn't mention if you are using NRTs. I found the patches very helpful but some here think cold turkey is the way to go. WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU!!!! Get your quit meter started so you can check the days off and money saved. Glad you are here.
