One day down .... rest of my life to go!!!

Hey Daniel, Congratulations on your decision to quit! Now the fun part comes in... the actual quitting. Try not to think of this as a "for the rest of my life" thing... that always depressed me. When the cravings come, look at it that you're not going to smoke right now for this 5 minutes. I know what you mean about people around you not believing that you're going to make it. The people in my life were the same way. But you can prove them wrong! Read and post as much as you want! This is a great place to come for support! I couldn't have done it without this site. Welcome and congratulations on quitting! Crave the Quit! Daniel, Welcome to our support community and congratulations on a great choice. Take the time to prepare yourself and look through the site. Preparation is essential to a successful quit and we can help. The online support group can provide knowledge and support, it can make a difference. Use lots of coping mechanisms to help you through those tough craves. Avoid situations that will tempt you and distract yourself with whatever it takes to keep you quit. We are always here :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
