(and you're right - take the two days back and reset your meter - you deserve the 11, not 9!)

Hi Waywardwind, you have just hit on one of my strategies to help me stay quit. You just have to focus on the HERE and NOW. One hour at a time. I find it overwhelming and intimidating to think of the long range forecast.(thunderstorms with intermitant raging periods.) LOL. You are doing great! Even better than your lagging meter says! Keep it going. redrosie

waywardwind,
I did the exact same sort of thing...I only thought about getting through the next 5 minutes. The idea of never ever having a cigarette ever again seemed entirely too daunting when I decided to quit, so I took it in 5 minute increments.
I won't smoke for 5 minutes.
(5 minutes later) I won't smoke for 5 minutes.
(5 minutes later) I won't smoke for 5 minutes.
and now it's 6 1/2 weeks since I quit! ;p
You're doing great - congrats on 9 healthy days!!
Lucy
