Oh no you don't! Get your grumpy butt right back up here on this quit wagon. You are not falling off this time. We will have none of that! Quick someone block the back so she can't get off. No smoking allowed. Some days are like that. I know it sucks. So what! Some days sucked when you smoked too remember? Yep. It's called life my friend. Suck it up. You can do this.

Jan, You're not going to smoke, so I'm not even worried about that. I think you're just going through a bad spell. They happen... it's called life! I think you do need some time away... perhaps a weekend getaway. I think that caravan sounds like a wonderful reward... and since it's a reward for NOT smoking, then if you smoke, you'll have to take it back! :8o: Hang in there girl! I know you will! You're a fighter! Crave the Quit! jan, I agree with Rusty, you are using the gum (NRT) for way too long of a period of time. Most NRT programs are designed for 6-8 weeks.. that is a max of 56 days. You are way over that. End the gum. Get your head screwed on straight. Since you are still on the gum at this late stage, you will probably have a bit of a hell week to deal with. You can do this jan, without going crazy. Do cigarettes mean that fricken much to you??? Stay out of places that allow smoking. At least for a bit longer. Don't worry about letting us down, worry about letting yourself down and getting back on the addiction/poisoning train. Where is your positive attitude? Your commitment? Open your eyes and stop romancing that crap. [b][color=Purple]Be Strong. Be Smart. Hang in there you can do this. If you smoke your going to feel twice as bad because you blew your quit. Do you want to go through those first days again, do you really need that cigarette, do you really want to spend that money, do you really want to stink, do you really want to die of cancer??????? Go have a nice soak in the tub or go for a nice walk or go to the show or read a book, or do anything but smoke!!! Its just a thought you are having same as you might think your tired, but you dont have to act on it!! Hi Jan :) The way you're feeling will pass,,,I promise! Just hang tough and get through it because once you do you'll be really happy that u did! Trust me, I know exactly what you're feeling and I know it's hard and just plain sucks but giving in is not an option for you because YOU ARE A NON-SMOKER, YOU DON'T SMOKE,,,SAY IT ..."I DON'T SMOKE, I DON'T SMOKE, I DON'T SMOKE", did u say it??? That lady that u saw smoking may have been really nice but the fag she was smoking wasn't nice at all and will kill her all that much sooner. She'll be a dead nice lady if she doesn't quit. You've already made it through the really hard physical times, now it's time to grow up emotionally :) You can do it! It may be time to give up the gum?? I honestly don't know how that works though. I used the patch for the 1st 3 mos. of my quit. Jan, you're a non-smoker, time to face it,,face to face with a positive attitude! ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!!! No matter what don't lite up... Keep on keepin on... Jan, I'm going to bump Golferman's "I am Quit" thread for you. Here's a thought, maybe right or wrong, and others may disagree. It would seem to me that as long as you are using NRT, you are dragging out your quit. Everytime you put gum in your mouth is another reminder that you are in the quit process. Perhaps it's time to just quit? Jan, Don't you dare! Look at your stats and remember how proud you were when you reached 100 days! Step up your coping mechanism and really keep yourself occupied. Relax yourself and do something for you! Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
