Got a craving!!

BJ, Oh I have so been there, up and down during the past few days. Today I made it through the entire day, no thought of a cig, and it was a stressful day. Then, I get in the car after work and it hits...gimmie gimmie gimme says the nicdemon in my head. Pulled out the gum and chewed until my jaw hurt. Hold on...and make sure you do in fact reward yourself. I've been treating myself to lots of raspberries, pretty expensive outta season here, but far less expensive in the long run! Kleo~

Bj here, thanks Katy, Casey & Kleo for your encouragement! I'm still smoke free and intend on keeping it that way. It's almost like anger managment, now i just need to find a new way to deal with anger/stress because i'm no longer using the old method(smoking). I give myself credit for doing that especially after 17 years! I've realized i'm stronger than i ever gave myself credit for and that goes for the rest of you too! It's an incredible thing!! Everybody be good to yourself this weekend, rewards, rewards, rewards!!!!! Well bite my tounge!! I was on here earlier saying i was doing good as far as cravings. Well that was true until someone rubbed me the wrong way and it seems to always happen at home. Now the wind could blow and it would reduce me to tears, of course i believe i can partly blame PMS on this as well. I know you ladies will understand!! I will hang tough and i won't give into my craving but boy i could go for a beer right now! It would be great if i could spend a month on a tropical island to get thru this quit!!Since i'm venting i also must say that it seems like people(my husband) who still smoke seem to be more cranky than those of us that have quit! What is the deal with that? Thanks to everyone on here for reading my vent, thats why i love this site so much!! Right now i will think about my next reward hmmmmmm.... you have encountered a situation that you previously handled by lighting up. Welcome to quitting 101. and the smokers seeming cheeky??? well, YOU after all, are showing them up with your quitting....they realize it takes guts and determination and their addiction is pounding away at them, trying to make sure that "they" get no ideas about quitting. hang tough....it's YOUR quit...no one elses.....just give yourself plenty of room for the time being....soak in the tub....curl up with a book...drink lots of fluids....take walks if you can. I assure you, the people around you who smoke are "watching" you. Show 'em a winner. You are doing great! Just stay in control!
